After leaving Sugar Hill around 10:30 Monday morning, we
finally made it to our hotel in the Pyrenees...25 hours later! We flew from Montreal to Munich, then changed
planes and arrived in Toulouse at 1 pm.
I have not spent any time in Germany since the 50's so as our plane descended into Munich, it was hard not to remember that this is a country where extermination camps existed. That such horrors existed is mind blowing.
Back to a positive note...We picked up our rental car (that's our's on the left)
and drove to our hotel in Arreau, arriving
there at 3:30 PM where we were warmly greeted by the hotel owners, Marie Helen
Aubiban and her mother, with a kisses on each cheek. Our
room has windows on three sides and the views are incredible from each.
Jet leg is definitely kicking in; I’m tired and dirty, but couldn’t be happier; it is so beautiful here!
Dinner is included with our room rate and that’s why we love
this place. Gourmet food serve in a true
environment of casual elegance.
Life is good!
so jealous! enjoy every second.
